“Let the little children come to me.  Don’t keep them away.  The kingdom of heaven belongs to people like them.” – Matthew 19:14

Children and families are a central part of Living the Word Church and we strive to include children in Sunday morning worship, while also meeting their age-specific needs through Sunday School and other programming. When you visit us on Sunday morning, you will see and hear the sounds of children laughing, singing and praying.  Our children truly set an example to all, as they live out Jesus’ love.

Here’s what a typical Sunday looks like from the view of Children’s Ministry!

0 – 2-Year-Olds

Childcare is available during the 8:30 worship service, 9:30 Sunday School Hour, and 10:45 worship service.  Please see one of our greeters at the Children's Check In Area (Don't worry you can't miss it, it has a neon sign) and they will gladly direct you to the nursery.  All of our volunteers have been cleared through our Safe Sanctuary approved background check program.

3 Years Old – Kindergarten

Programming is offered for this age group for the 9:30 Sunday School Hour and 10:45 worship service.  For those attending the Sunday School Hour, please check your child in prior to the start of Sunday School.  During the 10:45  worship service, children will remain with their family in the sanctuary through the children’s message. After the children’s message, they will be dismissed to Children’s Church.  You’ll be able to pick your kids up after the worship service!

1st – 5th Grade

We would love to have your kids join us for the 9:30 Sunday School hour or the 10:45 Worship Service.  During this time, children will receive a fun and interactive Bible lesson, followed by a hands-on activity.  Both of these allow the children to experience the story of Jesus in a variety of ways.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is one of the highlights of our outreach and ministry.  Your children will get to experience Bible stories coming to life, singing some new songs, crafts, snacks, and gym games.  This past year nearly 250 children participated in our VBS, providing a great way for our community to see Christ’s love for all.
